The kinematics (axis system) consists of a linear unit with propulsion via ball thread spindle and suitable step motor. It can be used either horizontally or vertically. In vertical operation a holding brake is necessary. The cable routing is completely mounted. Different variants are possible for the controller.

With every run-ready linear module and every turntable, you also receive a powerful easily programmable Xemo controller. By means of the DriveSets controller, you program motion in no time and store program procedures in the memory: in the Xemo programming language MotionBasic, with C##, VBA, LabVIEW, via G-code or integrated into a superordinate control environment via CANopen or Profibus.
A one-axis controller with point-to-point (P) function is included in the delivery. 8 digital inputs and outputs respectively with 24-V switch voltage as well as optionally 3 analog inputs and 1 analog output are available. There is step surveillance of the motors. As an option, position surveillance (U) is possible. If there are any mechanical blockages, an error message is generated.

In a gluing machine (photo), the contours of key casings are run at high and constant velocity in two to three seconds respectively. The dosing nozzle is carried by means of a pneumatic hoist axis.
A similar biaxial linear unit is used for applying markings needed for assembly to pipelines after a leak test. The pipelines are removed manually from the leak test unit and put into the marking system. For this purpose, the DriveSet M232B is used which has got a payload of 5 kilograms.
